Service Description

Have you been seeing loaves of lovely sourdough popping up all over your social media pages? Wondering what all the fuss is about (and wishing you knew where to start?) fear not! Simple sourdough with Sylvia is here for you. Sylvia Call, resident autism therapist, City Council Member, owner of FeatherStone Apothecary, and crazy chicken lady extraordinaire is here to walk you through the sourdough process with easy-to-understand directions so that you can begin your own journey into the world of homemade bread! Sylvia will be bringing in a delicious loaf of baked sourdough along with a butter candle to share with all the participants, and everyone will have a chance to practice their hand at the stretch and fold dough technique to perfect their bread-making magic! All participants will leave with their own bowl of dough ready to proof on the countertop at home, the recipe that Sylvia follows for her own loaves, as well as their own starter to keep the bread-making magic going once they leave the workshop! Self-investment for this workshop is $45 per person. Space is limited to 20 participants for this event so be sure to register early to save a spot and learn along side a sourdough sister! Helpful suggestion: if you have a kitchen scale, you are encouraged to bring it, along with a mixing bowl to use as you mix up your batch of dough!
