This class is led by Sylvia Call, and it is targeted toward families with children under age 10 on the autism spectrum who would like to learn some techniques that can help regulate their child's sensory system. Sylvia is the mother of a child on the autism spectrum. She is a licensed Play Project Autism Therapist. She serves as the Autism Services Coordinator for the Fayette County Board of Development Disabilities Early Intervention program. Her approach focuses on simple techniques to help provide appropriate sensory input with a focus on proprioceptive and vestibular input. This class will take a Mommy and Me (or Caregiver and Me!) approach. Sylvia's goal is to provide affordable local therapies to support children on the autism spectrum and to empower their caregivers to become their child's most impactful therapist. Sessions will take place the first Friday of each month at 11:30am. Each session will last one hour.
Clients must cancel within 24 hours of scheduled class. Failure to do so may result in forfeited payment for said class. Clients must cancel by phone or text at 740-572-0629. We reserve the right to change or cancel scheduled classes at any notice, without forfeiture of payment from client. Changes or Cancellation of classes will be distributed by email in a timely manner.
